The Combustion Institute (Indian Section) is a professional body registered at Hyderabad. The Combustion Institute (Indian Section) activities commenced in 1974 through a National Symposium in Combustion organized at the Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. The same has been continued in the form a biennial National Conference wherein the engineers and the scientists engaged in the research work concerning I.C. Engines and Combustion gather for sharing their research achievements. The Combustion Institute (Indian Section) oversees the technical and organizational aspects of this and other technical events in the country.
